In our digital society, the importance of well-working software is enormous. Nevertheless, there is currently no official HBO/WO study to become a software tester. Fortunately, there are several courses and e-learnings available. This way you can develop yourself to a full-fledged software tester in other ways! Taking a software testing course
When taking a software testing course, you have a number of options. There are many courses that deal with software testing in a small part, but that is not enough to become a good software tester. What you're looking for is a course that fully addresses software testing.
Testing training in a digital learning environment
At Testlearning you have the choice of two e-learnings. If you want to develop yourself into a professional, you can choose between TMAP® Suite Test Engineer or TPI NEXT® Foundation. And of course you can take them both! These courses are all about software testing. The two courses mentioned are different. To help you make a good choice, we'll explain the two e-learnings to you below.
TMAP® Suite Test Engineer
While attending this TMAP course you will learn about various elements of software testing. You will learn the importance of testing and how this is done in practice. We call this the 'basic training' for a reason; this e-learning teaches you the basics of software testing.
What does this e-learning consist of?
Following this e-learning amounts to self-study. Count on about 60 hours of study time to follow the course. That sounds a lot, but if you plan it well and divide the time, this is perfectly doable!
You can study the dozens of topics (referred to as paragraphs in the online environment) to master the basics of testing. Although the word 'e-learning' might suggest otherwise, the course is entirely in Dutch.
After the self-study you test your knowledge by taking an exam of the accredited EXIN. You will have six months access to the course.
TPI NEXT® Foundation
The TPI course TPI NEXT® Foundation deals with improving testing processes. Therefore, this e-learning can be a nice addition to the basic training explained above. When testing software, you make use of all kinds of models and techniques. Such a testing process can therefore be quite complicated. To keep testing as good as possible, you have to analyze the testing process. What goes well and what can be improved? That is the most important question you ask as a process improver. With this e-learning you will learn how to map and optimize a testing process.
The content of this e-learning
Just like the other course, you will also find a large amount of self-study material with the TPI NEXT® Foundation. The study load for this e-learning is about 30 hours. This e-learning also prepares you for the EXIN exam. The training is in Dutch and after your purchase you get six months access to our online learning environment.
